Driven by Purpose.
Kelli Williams didn't start Actually Clean LLC by accident — she built it through adversity. In 2023, a serious car accident forced her off her feet and into a period of recovery that most people would have used as a reason to slow down. Kelli used it as a runway.
During her recovery, she turned to AI tools to help her think through her business, streamline her operations, and map out what a truly professional cleaning company could look like. What started as a way to stay productive from a hospital bed became something far bigger: a Federally Registered Apprenticeship Program through the U.S. Department of Labor — one of the first of its kind in the residential cleaning industry.
That program, built in partnership with Michigan Works! and funded through the Going PRO Talent Fund, doesn't just train cleaners — it creates real careers with industry-recognized credentials, structured wages, and a pathway to professional growth.
Today, Actually Clean LLC is Metro Detroit's most credentialed cleaning company — recognized by NAWBO as a Top 10 Michigan Business Woman, ISSA certified, Train-the-Trainer certified, and LGBTBE certified. Her mission: raise the standard of what clean looks like, and prove that a cleaning company can be both luxurious and community-driven.
